[Acne] Derm told me not to moisturise whilst on isotretonin

Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I've had large cystic acne (and everything else) since I was 14, and only 14 years later have I managed to get a dermatologist appointment (I'm UK based). They've prescribed me isotretonin, and yesterday after a brief meeting with the dermatologist I've finally got the prescription and took my first dose this morning. During the appointment he reiterated all the side effects, with the focus on how dry I'll get. However, while in the appointment he told me its best to only wash my face with water twice a day, which prompted me to ask about using moisturiser. He said it was best not to use any moisturisers, unless it's under my mask (for covid restrictions) and it's rubbing at the dry skin. I was also prescribed a lot of basically vaseline for my lips. And I was wondering if anyone who's been on isotretonin (Roaccutane, Accutane etc) if they had the same advice or didn't moisturise/cleanse their face?I'm planning on following my dermatologists instructions but I'm worried I'll be super duper dry/it'll exacerbate my acne. I'd also just love any advice or to know your experience with isotretonin!Just to add, my routine before isotretonin:Morning: wash face with water, Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel with damp skin, Paula's Choice Age-Resist SPF 30Evening: cleanse with Paulas Choice Age-Resist gentle cleanser/Lush Angels with Bare Faces x2 a week for exfoliation, buffer with Neutrogena Hydro Boost on damp skin, Differen gel (previously prescribed), another layer of Neutrogena Hydro BoostI was also on prescription antibiotics to help with the cystic acne while I waited for a derm appointment
