Beauty Tips For Body Care
There's just something about acne that really makes you doubt yourself and your identity. I've really invested in my skin as much as I could since early high school, and it's always paid off. My friends used to compliment my skin and want to test out my products. Now that I've started depo and my skin is a disaster, I feel really detached from all these bottles and products I used to love. Apparently being informed and diligent about my skin is completely undermined when I decide to be informed and diligent about my birth control. It's just tough to rebuild a routine that works for this new skin I have, and I really feel like I'm taking care of someone else's face.So here's my routine: Doxycycline 100mg/day I've been on this for about 2 weeksAM: CeraVe hydrating cleanser Laneige water bank moisture cream (my Ulta birthday gift😋) La Roche posay clear skin sunscreen 50 spfPM: micellar water, CeraVe cleanser Tret .05% (every other day, sometimes every day since I've used retinoids before and rarely have sensitivity) Ponds dry skin creamSometimes I'll take a couple days off tret and use the ordinary AHA/BHA peel, I always find it helps with dry patches, reduces texture, and fades pigmentation. I also follow this up with a vitamin c serum. I'm wondering if this is actually helping or if I should just use tret without breaks? If I get a really bad pimple I'll put hydrocortisone cream on it. I've heard mixed ideas about this and am not sure if I should continue doing it. I've never had good luck with those hydrocolloid patches and think they're overhyped. Those are my thoughts on skincare rn. I think anyone else going through it with acne knows how it feels to be here.
