Hi all!After battling with acne for about 6 years I am finally blessed with clear skin (thanks, Accutane). I am very satisfied with the current state of my skin... except for my forehead. I had a really bad breakout about four years ago that left some pretty bad boxcar scars. I have been using retin-A for a long time and the scars look a little better, however I decided to bite the bullet and schedule a microneedling appointment for the first time.I am super nervous! I asked if they offer half-face microneedling, i.e. just for my forehead, however they only offer full face. I really want to see good results, however I am now worried about them working on the rest of my face. I know microneedling is supposed to be really safe and effective, especially when you go to a professional, however what are the chances that they ruin my skin? Are there any side effects I should be concerned about? Is there a chance that it could make my scars worse or affect my skin's collagen/aging?If anyone has had microneedling please share your experiences! Especially if you had it done for acne scars. I am worried and want to know what to expect... I really want to get rid of these scars but I am having anxiety that I am flying too close to the sun lmao. I think I am getting myself worked up. I have pictures of my scarring and can also share them if needed.
