[Routine Help] Should i avoid putting active ingredients on active cystic acne?

i use the inkey list (skincare by hyram) hyalauronic clearing morning serum and the retinol night serum every day. i occasionally get quite deep, angry and big cystic acne on my chin, so i am wondering if i should avoid using these actives while they heal and stick to just my plain cerave SA cleanser and cerave moisturiser?
