[Trigger Warning] Self-harm scar treatment in time for hot vax summer?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey guys,I struggled with an eating disorder and self-harm for most of last year up until Jan-Feb this year.Thankfully, I'm recovered now, loving my body and developed a kick ass sense of style (not to toot my own horn but toot). Unfortunately, I have some self-harm scars on my hips which could limit what I'm going to wear (as it's coming up to summer soon in Australia but I love low rise pants). Don't get me wrong, I love my body but I know the stares one of my dear friends experiences because of scars on her arms and quite frankly, I don't want to go throught that as well.As I'm not quite 18 yet, I didn't think it was right to post pictures due to the location of the scars so I'll do my best to describe it. They're completely flat (not sunken in or raised at all), faded to a medium-dark brown (were initially dark red-brown, I am rather pale) and seem to resemble hyperpigmentation except they are much larger than the typical hyperpigmentation resulting from acne.I wanted to know what anyone could recommend for efficient and effective scar removal. The price shouldn't be too much of a barrier as I am still covered under my parent's insurance (they don't know about the self-harm yet, I'm planning on telling them after exams are finished).I know that silicon patches are extremely effective for flattening raised scars but am unsure of whether it would work for my flat scars? Also, they take a long time (many months) to work while I would ideally like them to be faded in 2-3 months for summer (I know that's a big ask but if anyone could help I'd be eternally grateful). Is there maybe a laser treatment or would chemical peels be effective? Thanks for all the help, sorry for the weird formatting (I'm on mobile)
