Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I've had incredibly oily skin since hitting puberty (accompanied by acne of course). It's genetic and everyone in my family has oily skin. In the last decade, I have tried so many different things. I also went on Accutane at 17, and I was in heaven with how dry my skin was. I could pamper myself with as much moisturiser I wanted without giving a care in the world. I loved Accutane.Ever since then, my oiliness (and acne) returned. I tried tretinoin for 4 years, did nothing. Tried all sorts of Hyaluronic Acid serums/toners, Niacinamide at 4-10%, gel moisturisers (Simple, Clinique, Vichy, Kiehl's, Neutrogena), Salicylic Acid moisturisers/washes, mattifying moisturisers/sunscreens, facial oils, heavy moisturisers/balms, snail essence/serums, aloe vera, etc etc. with no luck. If I put on anything hydrating/moisturising I turn into a disco ball within an hour. I need to blot/powder every 2 hours.Recently I've been reading this sub about people not moisturising. So I decided to try it and so far my skin is a lot less oily throughout the day. However, I'm not sure if I should completely stop moisturising or if I should use something lighter like toner or essence alone, or only moisturise at night time. Do I risk harming my skin by not moisturising at all?AM routine:CeraVe Foaming CleanserLa Roche Posay Invisible Fluid SPF50+ (if going out)Makeup (sometimes)PM routine:Heimish All Clean Balm/Garnier Micellar Water (if wearing makeup)CeraVe Foaming CleanserEpiduo on dry skinCosRx Snail Mucin 96 Essence (if I feel dry/tight)Other products I have right nowVichy Normaderm cleanser (Salicylic acid)Vichy Normaderm Anti-Blemish Care lotion (Salicylic acid)The Ordinary 10% Lactic acid + HA serumThe Ordinary Squalene oilLa Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 BaumeBioderma Sensibio Light creamSimple Rich Replenishing moisturiser
