Hi all,I’ve had a mole in between my thumb and pointer finger for at least the last few years. I started getting a feeling that it looked like it was getting worse, but couldn’t tell if it was legitimate or anxiety-related. I had it checked out at my yearly exam last year and was told it didn’t seem too concerning; however, they took a photo of it anyway. I went back a few weeks ago because it was just giving me too much anxiety to look at, so I had a second doctor take a look and she said it didn’t look too concerning to her either nor did she notice a change since the photo was taken. She did tell me if I felt more comfortable, I can get the mole removed and so I opted to do so. They sent out the sample just for peace of mind and I got the results back yesterday: moderately atypical cells were present. I am scheduled to return next week to have more skin removed where the cells didn’t get completely removed and it may include a deeper incision. Trust your gut if your mole doesn’t feel right to you. I’m glad I have this piece of mind and more diligence on skin checks. Does anyone have good sunscreen brands that wear well under makeup?
