[Product Question] Can you use retinoid under eyes?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Is it safe/recommended? I've just bought The Ordinary's Advanced Retinoid 2% and I'm a bit confused about where to apply it.I also have the AHA, Lactic acid 5%, and I'm not sure where to apply that either.Last post got deleted because I forgot to tag - oops.

[Misc] What was your uncommon reason for acne, cysts, closed comedones etc?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Ive been breaking out for the last year, I've tried cutting dairy out, wearing less makeup, touching my face less, new face routines, etc. I'm starting to think the reason is something really uncommon. I can't wait to find out what's causing this. But I was just wondering what was everyone else's uncommon reason for break outs and how did you figure it out?

[Skin Concerns] Help for Scalp Psoriasis

Beauty Tips For Body Care
First off I'll say as a dude, posting here is weird enough that I feel the need to use my throwaway that I never use. Lol anyways I'm a seventeen year old guy and I get scalp psoriasis pretty bad, mainly in winter when the air gets try but a little bit in the summer too. My current routine is to use Zinc shampoo on my scalp for fifteen minutes using cold water to soak, apply and rinse with. I then towel try my hair, but I feel like that isn't the best with the irritation of the skin and what not. I also occasionally use a steroid called clobetasol propionate to break up pockets, but was told not to use it often. My psoriasis isn't that bad, mainly a few pockets on top of my scalp about where my hair originates from (I don't know if there's a proper term for that, sorry) and a few red dry patches on my hairline on my forehead. The steroid clears the spots on my forehead quickly but I have trouble killing the buildup of plaque on top of my scalp. I'm also a white guy, if that means anything. Is there anything you guys can give me as far as tips and advice? I'd appreciate it a lot and thanks for having me on your sub.

[Product Question]I've been rubbing my vitamin c pills on my face for 2 months with no effect - should I just use lemon juice instead?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've heard that vitamin c was good for your skin, and I already had a bunch of pills that I usually take in the morning. I thought rubbing them on my dark spots on my face would help, but so far this seems like bunk.Since lemon juice has so much vitamin c in it, I guess going straight to the source would be a better idea?Do you guys have any tips for how to get the most out of lemon juice?AprilFool's!

[Acne] Acne is ruining my self-esteem and I just wanted to rant.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Seriously, fuck acne. Fuck it so hard.No matter how hard I try, I can't beat it. Nothing works. No matter how much time and money I sink into my skin, I'm clearly just never going to have clear skin.I cut dairy completely. I cut all sugar and refined carbs completely. I exercise daily. I'm vegan. I'm on birth control. I wash my face twice a day with a low pH cleanser and moisturize. I wear sunscreen daily. I've been using tretinoin and clindamycin for months now. If anything, my acne has just gotten worse.I'm tired of the assumptions people make about me - that I must not wash my face enough, or that I eat junk food or something.I hung out with a few old friends the other day and it made me so mad - they had the most perfect skin I'd ever seen, and yet they kept scratching their faces and rubbing their phones against their face. We got pizza but I didn't eat any because dairy. The friend I spent the night with didn't even wash her makeup off that night.Seriously, why the hell is skin so unfair?
