this v pretty girl i know who is into skincare and knows the struggles complemented me on my skin out of no where today.and as a fairly masculine looking dude, most if not all of my (guy) friends don’t care or notice ever and i think it was the first time ever in my life I have been complemented on my skin haha. made my whole ass day. [Routine Help] No cleanser in the mornings?

I’ve been noticing recently that a lot of people posting their routines are washing their face with just a splash of water in the mornings instead of using a water based cleanser. Have people had good results with this???I’m asking because I realized that my skin always seems to clear up when I stay at my boyfriend’s for the weekend, and I think it’s because I normally slack on doing my skincare in the mornings while I’m there. I’m going to start trying the wash with water method in the mornings and see how it goes!

Thought I would start a discussion; what is your guys’ favourite underrated or ‘diamond in the rough’ moisturizers? And why/your experience with them?Mine is Aveeno Eczema Therapy Baby cream. Cheap drugstore moisturizer with colloidal oatmeal, ceramide NP, petralotum, oat kernel oil, glycerin and panthenol. It helped me with tret a lot! I mix it with a couple drops of squalane oil.Another sorta underrated one is the CosRX Snail Mucin All in One cream. Just very soothing, plumping and hydrating. It is if I want something a bit lighter and I use it during the day. The snail mucin also helps heal things and fade hyperpigmentation. I have repurchased it three times so far and will continue to.What about you guys?

Wearing a mask all the time at work has really made me realize how dark the circles under my eyes are and how haggard it's making me look. Geez. Any product recommendations? My current eye cream is for wrinkles only.

For people with Bipolar who have cystic acne or other people who are taking anticonvulsants, which has triggered the least acne for you? [acne]

I need to take a mood stabilizer for my mental illness and anticonvulsants work the best. Lamictal and Lithium triggered my cystic acne though, especially Lithium. The Lithium acne was severe, unfortunately. What has worked for you? I was considering Trileptal but I read that acne was a big side effect and I can't deal with any more scars of my face.I use azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and Cetaphil.

So I had horrible skin my senior year which I got under control with a new face wash. Everything was pretty great then I got pregnant and got into BC after her. After I quit BC I noticed my face started to slowly get worse. To the point where I feel embarrassed and just disgusting. I was using the same face wash as I was in high school and it did nothing. So I started using the Cerave Acne face wash a month ago, with my original face lotion. Just the dreaded basic two step face wash lol And I just need help! My face is combination, it’s not insanely oily but not dry or regular. I’m also broke 99% of the time so can’t afford a lot of the things I’ve been suggested!I just need help. I’m embarrassed. I don’t know how to post a photo of my face as well

[Acne] Sudden change in skin, please help

After years of pretty clear skin, suddenly I’ve started breaking out. A few weeks ago I had to change birth control brand, because they were out of mine (same active ingredients though.) They gave me three months worth at once and my insurance will not cover different packs if I still have those three... I take it for extremely heavy and painful periods. I also started taking aloe vera extract a couple days before it started, but I’ve since stopped and it hasn’t cleared up. So probably not it but mentioning just in caseHere a picture, sorry my camera is bad quality so it’s hard to see the extent of it. It’s like this all over my forehead, nose and cheeks.
