Beauty Tips For Body Care
Following a little too much halloween make-up and some harsh cleansing last month, I have become acquainted with perioral dermatitis. It is on the right side of my mouth and my left eye. It is relatively mild but definitely something I would like to be rid of as soon as possible. Right now, I am using diluted ACV as a toner ~3 times a day, sweet almond oil as a moisturizer on my entire face, and coconut oil on the bad spots. I am also drinking ACV and lemon juice diluted in water twice a day (I just started this and it is disgusting). I am wondering if anyone has had success with ACV and if so, how long did it take? What was the healing process like? It seems to dry out the affected areas and cause some flaking, and overall the bumps seem to be reduced at least around my mouth. I don't want to give up too early if it doesn't fix things. Also, I have read a lot about the various causes and treatments for this. I am fairly certain that it was caused by a combination of over-cleansing, heavy halloween make-up, and the cold/dry/windy weather here in northern Europe. Since this breakout I have stopped wearing makeup completely and I only wash my face once a day with a very mild, all-natural cleanser. I'm not exactly concerned about my toothpaste, shampoo, or diet since these have stayed fairly constant. I'm also not a fan of intense antibiotics because antibiotic-resistance, etc. But ACV and coconut oil have been very good to me so I am hoping these will do the trick!
