[SUN CARE] Are after-sun lotions useful at all? Recommendations?

I am heading to Asia for Christmas break -- hello SUN! I am planning to bring ALL THE SUNSCREEN (both face and body, of course), but I am wondering if I would need after-sun lotions as well. Do they actually do anything? Recommendations are also more than welcome. Thank you!
