Beauty Tips For Body Care
I live near a high end shopping centre and was stopped today by a saleswoman who works at a skincare store that sells very expensive skincare products with gold in it. All their products are packaged in jars and are marketed to be miraculous for your skin, because of well... gold.I've walked past it before, and on the weekends especially, it's very busy. The girl who came up to me was really nice and tried to make smalltalk, so I did too. She then wanted me to come into the store and was very pushy, so I told her I didn't have time. In reality, I just didn't want to tell her what I was really thinking. I'm really bad with this kind of stuff and am generally very unconfrontational. I eventually told her that I'm really into skincare and love studying ingredients and that gold is not beneficial to the skin. I also told her that it's not harmful either, but that I wasn't interested in using any of the products. She shrugged and seemed somewhat taken aback so I left and said have a nice day.I was actually stopped in the same centre a month ago by someone else who was giving facials for a similarly doubtful company, who said my skin looked very nice but that I had many blackheads he could take care of. I do not have blackheads, they're actually pretty small sebaceous filaments. I was too shy to say that and just walked off. I regretted that, which is probably partly why I did what I did today. I do feel kind of guilty about it and hope I didn't hurt her. I know we all try to make a living, but I just wish those companies didn't exist. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
