[Acne] What kind of experience have you had with tretinoin?

I'm not sure, but I'm beginning to see that tretinoin has cause pronounced redness circles all over my face since I started using it (about 5 months ago). Shouldn't it be helping by now? Should I stop?I have never read anything about it being bad for acne, and yet, this has been the worst.... and I've been on tretinoin before! And it wasn't this bad. I don't know what to do :(
