[product question] Has anyone else gone on Retin A (tretinoin), stopped using it, and then went back on? Was there the initial purging once again?

Hello my epidermal compadres, so here's the yolk, I used Retin A for almost a year before leaving my boarding school and moving to another state and then getting put on adapalene and clindamycin by a dermatologist in California. Fast forward another year plus and I visit a dermatologist here in Newport Beach because my previous prescription was expiring. She puts me on Retin A once again, hence I am curious whether or not I should expect to experience the oh so dreaded purging stage of our creamy and salty friend, the tretinoin. The derm said no but as we all have experienced the incompetence of lab coats wielding a framed degree, I thought I'd pop on and get some of your lads/lasses stories first if there is anyone willing to share.Cheers!
