Beauty Tips For Body Care
I implemented a skincare routine a long while ago, maybe a year or two ago, after finding this subreddit. In some ways, things got better. In some ways, things stayed about the same.I have tried a lot of different products, but my one constant was my CeraVe PM. I never really had any issues with it when testing it on myself before applying it to my face. Once on my face, it never seemed to make my acne any worse than it already was. So I assumed it was fine. But a few weeks ago, I ran out of CeraVe PM and forgot to buy a new bottle. So I wasn't applying it anymore... and suddenly my skin started looking a little better. Not great. But slowly improving it seems. So maybe my CeraVe PM was blocking the progress of all my other products? All of my acne is on my forehead. The rest of my skin always looks fine, for the most part. My forehead can be shiny and oily at times. So I assumed it was some sort of dryness issue. With the CeraVe PM now out of the picture, I am currently using:Before Bed:CeraVe Foaming Facial CleanserStridex Red (alcohol free)Wake Up / Getting Ready For Work:Stridex Red (alcohol free)Sometimes I use a triple antibiotic ointment to deal with redness and help with healing when I need to. I've used BP in an attempt to deal with certain spots, but I don't think it really helps them much.Adding the Stridex Red has definitely done a lot of good for me. My skin feels notably less oily but not overly dry. Yet. But since the product is pretty drying in general, I definitely want to add a moisturizer back in.I don't know what was wrong with the CeraVe PM. If it was those fatty alcohols that everyone seems to talk about, if it was just too thick and intense for my skin and was clogging me up.I don't know. But my skin actually feels less oily with the PM no longer in use and some of the acne seems to be clearing. So I'm looking for a new moisturizer, nothing too intense. Just a little light something that will add a bit of moisture to my skin without lingering and feeling slimy/oily. Is there a light spray or something I could use? Something less thick than a cream? Thanks! Also, I don't wear sunblock on a daily basis because I work the overnight shift. So I sleep all day and hardly ever go out in the sun. On my days off, if I do go out, I put on some sunblock.
