Sorry if this is long, I'm just so excited and had to share what I did.35/F hormonal acne around my chin, mouth, nose, horribly oily skin. I normally get lots of little whiteheads but at least 1-2 a month, I'll get the mother zit. The underground, even with makeup, no stopping that bitch, ruins your face for at least a week, scar for a month mother zit.Well I wake up on Monday and I can feel a little bump coming. I think bloody hell, I have a family reunion Saturday. Which means this thing is going to peak by Thursday or Friday. From that point forward I go in full effect stop the alien from attacking mode. Here's what I did:Monday: Routine as normal, wash, tone, but immediately a thin layer of BP on my chin before moisturizer. I try my hardest not to touch it to see how it's progressing. Mon night, normal routine, but before bed make a mound of 10% BP on it.Tuesday: It's bigger. Ugh. She's growing larger. Add Stridex to my morning routine, Thin layer of BP, moisturizer and makeup like normal. Tuesday night. We're still growing. Ugh. Face mask time. Mound of Queen Helen for about 3 hours. Wash, mound of BP.Wednesday: She is angry now. She is big and red and if I came anywhere near her to squeeze, it will be full blown WW3. Morning Stridex, BP, makeup as normal, or as normal as I could with a monster on me. I tried desperately not to touch her but I had to keep feeling the growth throughout the day. Wednesday night... This is where the tides change and I stop myself from digging in!!! I immediately get home from work and wash my face. There is a very small whitehead now but still underground. DO. NOT. SQUEEZE!!!! Whatever you do, for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT SQUEEZE, do not try to pick, do not put any pressure on it period. Instead, I get a tiny pin, soak it in some alcohol and lance right into the white. I stick my tongue inside my mouth and push behind it. Some goo comes out. I wipe it with Stridex, burns but we're good. I go out about my evening. Bedtime, wash again and mound on BP.Thursday: Still small whitehead, majorly red and swollen and painful. DO NOT SQUEEZE! I repeat, DO NOT SQUEEZE! Back to the pin method. Right into the whitehead, tongue in my mouth pushing. Stridex but this time instead of BP I go for tea tree oil because it's starting to get crusty and dry. Not a good look. Thursday night, she is ready!! She's a little harder or firmer now. Pin her again and a warm compress. She's ready for extraction. Now, and only now is she ready for some slight squeezing. I said a prayer and squeezed slightly. If nothing was going to happen, I would have stopped immediately, abort mission. Instead - crack! Explosion on the mirror! She's free!!! At this point go into recovery mode. Stridex and ice to lower swelling. Once the oozing stops and it closes up after 2 hours or so calms down, wash again, warm compress, mound of BP.Friday: I woke up to a flattened, slightly scabbed little red girl. She was defeated. Tonight, back to normal routine and by tomorrow for the party, maybe a very small but flat scab.I have never been happier. The takeaway from this is truly, do not squeeze if it's not ready. I've never actually waited one out and dried it up enough to have it squeezable eventually. I am now going to pin poke every damn thing instead of squeezing the fuck out of my face ever again. There were 2 days of ugliness vs a shit ton like normal.Victory is mine.
