Beauty Tips For Body Care
Obviously most of you probably don't come near your face with scented or overly scented products, but one thing to consider if you have especially sensitive skin, is to remove all scent from your hand soaps as well.At my previous job, we were often given a particularly famous brand of hand soap (you know, the ones that sometimes contain dreaded micro beads) as gifts. I usually put these heavily scented soaps in my kitchen, but occasionally for some reason or another they made their way to the bathroom. Unfortunately for me, over several years of breakouts and red, irritated skin, I found out that this hand soap (and other scented varieties) could be attributed to 80-90% of my skin issues!Desperate for help, I found this sub a few years ago, and I drastically overhauled my routine. It wasn't until I completely removed all scented hand soaps from my house however, that I found an almost complete reduction in new breakouts. Now to clear up all that PIH from years of scent-caused irritation...Current Routine- wash hands with unscented soap (currently using Method brand refills bought in bulk from Amazon)AM: CeraVe hydrating cleanserPaula's Choice Calm Redness Relief TonerCeraVe AM SPF30PM:CeraVe Foaming Cleanser or SA CleanserPaula's Choice Clinical Redness Relief Toner-discontinued :(Paula's Choice 2% BHA Lotion ExfoliantCeraVe PM LotionSpot treat with 5% Benzoyl PeroxideOh and in case you were wondering, I've tried to remove most scents from my other products as well, including body wash, laundry detergent etc. A difficult task in a heavily scented world...
