[exfoliation] [hair removal] Can I use a sugar and oil scrub to get out hairs? Would it damage my skin to use it regularly?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi! I had laser hair removal and after my first round, I didn't shave for about a month and used wash-cloths and slightly rough sponges to get the dead hairs out. Now I have had my second round and unfortunately had to shave about half a week later. Now the dead hairs are still in my skin at surface level but aren't long enough to come out with a wash-cloth.I have a vanilla scrub made with coconut oil, olive oil, vanilla extract and granulated sugar. I usually use it on my lips as a lip scrub and occasionally on my face (is this a mortal sin?) so I am wondering if I can use it on my legs and underarms as well? I've heard that you can use it pre shave to soften skin and then after shaving, use it again, and then shave your shaven skin to get off dead skin but that sounds a bit violent.Any advice welcome! Thanks!
