[product question] Just for fun I tested the Ph of all my skin care products and NONE of them were as advertised

I must have done something wrong, right? For example, the PC Skin Balancing Toner tested at around a 7. The cleanser was a NINE. The 2% BHA was a 5. That can't be real, surely people would have noticed? Also I love PC and refuse to believe that these are accurate.These strips are already about six months old, but I didn't see an expiration date. I kept them in my bathroom though, so maybe the humidity messed with them? I did test my water though, and then some household vinegar, and it tested correctly... Should I get new strips and try again? Throw away these products and start over? Oh no!
