Beauty Tips For Body Care
Acne people of the world unite! So I'll be starting Accutane (or isotretinoin) at the end of this month. Like many of you, I have tried it all, and YIKES I am EXHAUSTED. My dermatologist started me on birth control for the month prior just to be super sure I don't get a mutated baby. Fun fact: if you are an adult who is choosing not to take birth control and are sexually active, apparently your dermatologist will look at you like you are Hitler. Despite any discussion about pregnancy that you may have had with your partner.I am on day ten of my birth control (Lo loestrin fe) and it is poopy bungholes. My face is blowing up with cystic acne more so than before. ("All the more acne for me to kill, my friend"- Accutane"). Also I feel kind of...idon'tknow...hormonal? Anyway.Does anyone have any suggestions for me to better prepare for Accutane//control the acne that is populating my face like it's the new Americas?I have a sneaking suspicion that my dermatologist has terrible bedside manner. I can hold my breath longer than the amount of time she sees me. She gave me no opportunity to ask any questions, merely asked me to scribble my signature on the Please Don't Have a Mutated Baby paperwork and tossed some iPledge textbook into my lap and told me to come back in a month. So I turn to you, my skin care experts, for further assistance. My current routine is as follows-its the best I can do right now with my face behaving the way it is.AM: *Wash face with Cetaphil Cleanser *One Stridex Pad *Slap on some Almay concealer and a brand of loose mineral powder *Tell my reflection, "What's cookin' good lookin"PM * Wipe off make up with make up removing pads * One Stridex Pad *Every other night remove make up using Neem Oil * Tell reflection, "Hmm, well it seems to be getting worse. Maybe don't stand close to people anymore".
