Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm a bit of a skincare newbie, so bare with me if I get any of the terms wrong! I would like some help adding some actives into my routine :).My skin is dry/combination (occasionally get an oily T-zone) and somewhat sensitive. I have sunspots and some acne scarring as well as large pores/texture - these are all the things I would like to combat. I also occasionally get breakouts in the T-zone (center of forehead and chin mostly), maybe once or twice a month (I don't really know what acne-prone means so I didn't label it as that but correct me if I'm wrong), which is usually a few whiteheads, some that are inflamed, and maybe some "blind pimples" and blackheads. They usually go away in a few days.My routine is very bare bones at the moment as I tried a lot of different products a few months ago and my skin had a bit of a freakout/reaction after using a product with BHA in it, so I just settled on finding a cleanser and moisturiser combo that seems to make my skin happy.Routine:Sukin Sensitive Gel CleanserLa Roche Posay Toleraine Ultra Intense Soothing Care (I'm looking to try out the Cerave facial moisturiser when this runs out because although this works well for my skin is doesn't really have much to it and it's a bit expensive)[AM only]Drugstore chemical sunscreen[Once a week] Goodness Once A Week Scrub (relatively gentle physical exfoliator)I also wear makeup 1-3 times a week and remove it with coconut oil.I want to add in a Vitamin C serum (I was looking at the Timeless one) and an AHA as well as something with hydroquinone to help with my dark spots. I was thinking either the Alpha Skincare Dual Action Lightener or the Paula's Choice Resist Triple Action Dark Spot Eraser. I've never used Vitamin C serums, AHA's or hydroquinone before, to my knowledge. My skin can occasionaly be sensitive. Is there any order in which I should add them to my routine (ie. start using Vitamin C serum before the AHA/hydroquinone?) ? And also can I use the hydroquinone/AHA products as its own chemical exfoliant on my entire face or do I need another AHA product?Sorry if this is way too much text I just didn't want to leave anything out.
