Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi folks. I recently got fed up with having horribly bumpy skin and (after some binge research) started a really basic barrier replenishment routine of water + CeraVe lotion in the AM / CeraVe foaming + lotion in the PM. Been doing that for about 3 weeks now. The first week the lotion gave me itchy hives on my chin and forehead. I pursued through that as I read extreme sensitivity was normal while the barrier repaired itself. It has stopped now.About a week ago I added Nip+Fab Glycolic (4%) fix serum in the PM. I know it's not a great product since it has alcohol and fragrance. Canada's pretty limited. I ordered The Ordinary 7% Glycolic & 10% Lactic acids to eventually replace it. (I also grabbed the 2% Retinoid, 2% BHA, and 10% Niacinamide & Zinc 1%.)My skin feels good, soft and springy. No dryness, just an excessively oily T zone (I am an oil factory). I am not sure whether I'm purging a bit from the serum, breaking out due to the lotion/PMS, or just fixating way too hard on all the bumps. I feel like my skin looks terrible - the worst it has in years - and I'm having a hard time not picking it to death.http://i.imgur.com/NlELab6.jpg Pic, post PM routine. Bit shiny, the serum is really sticky. So, what should I do? Keep doing the same routine to see if the breakout is just purging? Try a different (possibly gel based) moisturizer? Chuck the Nip+Fab serum and use The Ordinary AHAs?I'm just scared, I really can't afford to play product roulette...(I'm also trying to get in to see a dermatologist, but the wait list is 3+ months. Yay Canada)Thanks in advance for any help.
