I'm desperate for help. This is a throwaway account because I'm so embarrassed by my skin. 24/F if that is helpful. The dermatologist who diagnosed MRSA did not even do a sample or run any tests, just put me on horrific antibiotics for six months. The others just suggested I try lotion.I can't get proper treatment for the root cause of the scarring, and no one can tell me what's going on. Basically I will get a small, hard, raised bump on my back which then ruptures and leaves a deep hole in my skin. It takes weeks to heal.This has had a huge negative impact on me for years. I don't let anyone touch me, I never wear bathing suits or tank tops for fear of someone seeing how disgusting my skin is. I have come close to attempting suicide because of this.So, has anyone seen or dealt with anything like this before? Is there anything I can do about the scarring? If I see another dermatologist, what questions should I ask?I'm so, so desperate for answers. I'm really at the end of my rope here and I don't know where else to turn. Thank you for reading.
