Beauty Tips For Body Care
Today was my first dermatologist appointment. I had a few things I went for, but I was primarily there for acne issues. It is important I mention: I hate topical creams. They are a lot more cumbersome than just taking a pill every day. I've tried Curology and I've tried OTC options. They usually do not work.So I asked my dermatologist about Spironolactone after hearing about many success stories with it on this sub.The first thing he did was made fun of me (I'm not exaggerating, he mocked my voice and proceeded to show me a YouTube video of "spironolactone side effects" which ended up showing side effects that weren't terrible at all). He stated how it affects the heart negatively and causes kidney failure and whatnot.Then he prescribed me Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin, which I stated specifically that I did not want.And right on the acne brochure he gave me, it stated how Spironolactone is a good option for some women with acne.The entire ordeal took place within about 7 minutes. He did not look at my skin at all, which pissed me off after waiting for an hour and a half for them to call me in to see the derm.I guess this is a rant, or maybe a plea to you guys on what I should do. I don't really have any other options for dermatologists. I honestly am so upset because I've avoided doctors for so long because they just don't listen to my concerns and always end up treating me like I'm 5 years old.Have any of you had a similar experience? Any advice you can give me?
