[Acne] A critical tip I discovered: before treating acne, make sure you don't have rosacea and take care of it first

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have been working on controlling my acne for may years with some decent success.I also had been diagnosed with mild to moderate rosacea. Along with this I would have comedo and pustular acne. Treatments prescribed by dermatologists didn't help too much. However eventually I found some things that did - and in turn they have really settled down the acne! Rosacea fuels a lot of acne. Rosacea can also be subtle and many don't realize they have it.There is an awesome rosacea community over at /r/rosacea where I learned a few things. What helped my rosacea:Antibiotics: I took amoxicillin and clarithromycin with PPI for an H pylori type treatment. This cured 50% of the rosacea. And after this the rosacea was no longer exacerbated by emotion and blushing! No more being made fun of. I know others have success with doxycycline (by the way don't let your doctor rx you the brand name which is lots of money, always get the generic)The second thing that has really cleared up the rosacea is MSM, an antioxidant supplement. The tabs are 1000 mg each. I take 5-10 pills per day and my face is calm all day! They are not a cure and rosacea will return if they are discontinued. But their effectiveness can't be understated.Aquaphor as a moisturizerWith this regimen I'd say I'm 90-100% treated depending on the time of the day. I was surprised to touch my face and actually find that it felt cool. You may think that the antibiotics are what helped the acne, not the rosacea treatment. I will add that acne did come back after stopping those antibiotics. It only has really settled down since being on the MSM and having rosacea controlled daily. There is a dramatic difference since being on the MSMSide note: For those wondering what MSM is, it stands for Methylsulfonylmethane and is an antioxidant. The name is so long it's usually called MSM even on the bottle. Any health food store should have it. It's mainly used by those with arthritis
