I have noticed that whenever I get sick with a cold and take Mucinex DM that my breakouts will MASSIVELY reduce. Much more than with any other combination of products, pills, or routines. The problem being that Mucinex is dangerous to take long term. I have tested this Mucinex in the form of guaifenesin (Mucinex) and guaifenisin+DXM (Mucinex DM). The DM is the one that works. I have read some stuff about how DXM (dextromethorphan) could be helping with a histamine imbalance or intolerance in my body. But, there is surprisingly little information to be found online in regards to DXM and acne. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this personal breakthrough and maybe a suggestion. I have read about people having success with certizine and other antihistamines. Any thoughts or similar stories would be greatly appreciated.
