[Misc] The results of my No-Pick-November (which should surprise no one)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I started breaking out when I was 9 and I'm 35 now. Since my very first breakout, I picked at my skin. I did it every morning. I did it every night. I did it while watching tv on the couch. I never for one second considered trying to stop because it was so ingrained in me, why even try when I was doomed to fail?In early November, I decided to give "No-Pick-November" a shot. You may even remember my post asking if anyone else was going to do it, as well. For some reason, it seemed easier to me to not pick for a set amount of time, like it was a challenge. Every time my hands went to my face I said, "No, just for a few more weeks." That seemed to help A LOT.So, how has my skin changed in just one month after changing nothing but breaking my habit? Girl, let me tell you. My breakouts are few & far between. When I do break out, they all heal insanely faster with no PIH. My pores look smaller and less congested. And that one patch of weird, dry, flaky skin just under my eye that was sticking around for weeks...GONE AFTER TWO DAYS.I think the best thing I got out of this, however, is my compulsion to pick is almost gone. I don't zoom in on my face first thing walking into the bathroom anymore. I don't absent-mindedly find my hands on my face while zoning out anymore. It's like I just don't care anymore, which in turn, makes me so much happier. So my No-Pick-November is going to segue to Don't-Touch-December into Just-Leave-It-January. And for the first time, it seems super doable.
