Beauty Tips For Body Care
I mostly lurk here and have gotten such good advice from this subreddit. I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed into the ground but it's certainly something that has helped me tremendously. I'm hoping not to jinx myself by posting this but here goes.I suffered from what I thought was hormonal acne. Mostly acne at the corners of my mouth, around the mouth and on my chin. This included a lot of cysts, or bumps that I'd be dealing with for at least 2 weeks. I'm left with many scars that I'm currently trying to repair. About a month ago, randomly I decided to grab a different toothpaste than my usual. After using this new toothpaste, which mind you I didn't even realize but now that I've done some research, I found out it doesn't include the ingredient SLS. Which my old toothpaste company stated on their website as a 'natural' ingredient and is something that has been spoken about with 'volume[s] of misinformation'.I haven't had a single cystic pimple since switching to a toothpaste without SLS. I've gone from breaking out regularly to nothing. I haven't even had so much as a bump on my chin or around my mouth either. It's just gone, done. I'm a little blown away, and am just waiting for it to come back to prove me wrong. I must have just been having a bad reaction to SLS without realizing it for years. And no I'm not a slobby person getting toothpaste all over my mouth and chin and leaving it there. I rarely actually got it anywhere other than where it should have been. I can't say this will be the thing to help everyone, but for some this could be helpful to know about.
