[Miscellaneous] To the teens on this sub...

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I’ve seen some posts and comments on here lately by teenagers that use some sad and kind of alarming self-talk regarding their skin and appearance, and I wanted to create a small space to address that, if I may.I just wanted to encourage the young people here to be a little kinder to themselves. Have patience with yourself and your body. The skin you have at 17 is likely not the way your skin will stay forever. Hormones play a huge role in this, and these things change. Everyone has had an awkward stage, and not everyone hit puberty and turned into an Instagram model. (In fact, I don’t know anyone in real life that has.)Remember that a large majority of what you see online is Facetuned, filtered, Botox, filler, and a small minority of it is good old fashioned genes. But it’s mostly filters and tweaks. I’ve met a handful of famous people with not great skin- but you would never know from photos.Skincare is a great thing- absolutely embrace it! I think self-care is good for the soul. And this sub is full of great advice and people that can help. This is not to discredit any of that, but just a reminder to show yourself some kindness- you are not a problem to be fixed.I hope this is alright to post; I really enjoy this sub.Edit: wording
