[Review] NIOD Flavanone Mud

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to review this product because I was really on the fence when choosing it and couldn’t find that many solid reviews on it. I will say that I asked for it and received it as a gift, but I will definitely be buying it myself when I’m out (which will honestly take forever, a little bit of this shit goes a long way). Spoiler alert: this mask has blown me away with its mystical powers.Me: 25f, oily/combo skin, history of acne (took Accutane 4 years ago) with occasional small pimples/breakouts now, some surface texture/larger pores on cheeks, occasional clogged poresNow, I’ll start with the pretty obvious, main negative of this product: This. Shit. BURNS. Wow. I read the product description where they warn you about possible burning. I saw the reviews from people who complained about burning. But I was not prepared. It really burns for me, and I don’t consider my skin particularly sensitive or reactive. It starts burning after a couple minutes of having it on (I keep it on for 10 minutes), and honestly I think the burning gets worse after washing it off. The burning also lasts for a solid 5 minutes or so after I’ve washed it off. And it makes my face bright red (hence why I only do it at night).I’m usually NOT one to think that “if you can feel it, that means it’s working!” In fact, I think the opposite is usually true. But I decided to power through the pain on this one, and boy am I glad I did.I’ve now used it 4 times over the past 6 weeks, and it’s honestly amazing. I use it at night, skip any actives that night, and load on my moisturizer. In the morning my skin looks so good. It looks more even, my pores look smaller, and it feels SO SOFT. And, I feel like the results are not just temporary. They last for days, and I have seen a noticeable improvement in my overall skin appearance (brightness, texture, tone, fewer breakouts) since incorporating this product.I’ve also used it on an underground/emerging pimple, and the pimple faded away into nothingness over the next couple days. It never surfaced!!I’m a mask skeptic in general (how much can a product do for you in 10-15 minutes?), and I’ve tried mud masks in the past that haven’t really done anything for me, but damn do I love this stuff. I really can’t recommend it enough.
