Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi, I noticed that over the past few months, my nasolabial folds have become much more visible and my fat distribution has moved toward the lower part of my face. My skin looks saggier overall. I'm almost 18 years old.I'm very unsure what has caused this, because a lot has changed since quarantine has started (slight weight gain, stress, lack of sleep, more time at computer screen). I was never a super unhealthy eater, but I have been eating much healthier, while my skin has gotten much worse. I also wear sunscreen daily. My biggest concern is the indents next to my nose, which I may have caused by applying salicylic acid and 10% benzoyl peroxide in that area daily for a couple weeks to combat acne.I visited a dermatologist recently for acne, and she prescribed tretinoin following a month of adapalene. I was excited about this at first, but I learned recently that retinoids, along with other products that are known to increase collagen like Vitamin C, can actually decrease elastin and facial fat. In Asian skincare, retinoids are not usually used, as Asians tend to to suffer skin sagging rather than wrinkling. I think that I may have similar skin issues, and I'm very concerned about using Vitamin A and C products now. The adapalene (Differin) has also so far been making my face very dry (as it's known to), so I may just call it off.Are there any products that are actually effective in increasing elastin and raising cheek fat? And are my concerns about retinoids and Vitamin C valid? I have been looking into volufiline and copper peptides, which look promising, but I don't know if they're worth the costs. I don't know if it's even possible to get fillers at this age but I couldn't afford them anyway. I keep reading that they're the only option when it comes to aging from fat pad movement, which is very disappointing.tl;dr my skin has gotten frighteningly saggier at a young age, I would like to know if there's a way to reverse it, and I'm concerned about using certain actives.https://imgur.com/a/coBJMzX
