Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm coming up to the anniversary of using Tretinoin. When I look in the mirror I still see the same flaws I had prior to using it, but that's just me being human. When I compare before and after photos there is a dramatic and obvious improvement in the look of my skin.Pores appear smaller, skin texture is smoother, I have a lovely glow and tight look, fine lines are way smaller or even completely gone, and some vascular damage is massively reduced to the point I don't see it anymore. My skin care routine is flawless. Completely, meticulously tailored and pared back to be as simplistic as possible whilst still meeting all my skin care needs. It's low in acids, surfactants, no single ingredient products apart from the tret, no ingredients contradict each other. Its been exhausting putting my routine together, but it really is the best that it can be whilst still making the most out of that delicate Retinoic acid molecule!Sounds like a dream? But recently I've been thinking how much my SkinCareAddiction is causing me low level stress, and when I really think about it, I'd have to attribute this to retinol; not just the obvious side effects of using such a powerful active, but all the contraindications and sacrifices you have to make with everything else when using it.In spite of the lovely list of skin benefits above, I'm still experiencing redness, irritation and dry skin a year on, it's a constant battle. This is where my question comes in - is tretinoin worth it if I constantly feel that I'm juggling skin that looks healthy and appealing, but actually feels damaged and sensitive.Does anyone else feel like this? Has anyone else considered, or has, ditched retinol in favour of a more gentle approach?
