[review] The Ordinary Buffet

Beauty Tips For Body Care
PicturesBackground: So, TO has been massive in helping calm my skin down. I don’t love all of their formulations (looking at you with all the pilling, 10% Niacinamide), but they work and don’t irritate my skin. I’ve been using TO for at 3+ years now. Prior to that, I had dull, red, dehydrated skin prone to whiteheads. Now, my skin is better, much less prone to full on breakouts, but I obviously have some still. I can get dry on my cheeks and around my eyes and mouth, while my forehead tends to be oily. I wanted to try Buffet since it seems to be HG for a lot of people here. However, it also seemed to be irritating for some folks. I decided to test it on half my face for six+ weeks.Routine: Morning - La Roche Posay Anthelios 60 if I’m going outside. Otherwise, nothing, not even a rinse. Doing less seems to be key for my skin.Evening - double cleanse with The Face Shop Rice Water Bright and La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser. TO hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to follow. Buffet on the left side of my face only. Sealed in with Mizon Snail Recovery Gel and Aquaphor.Every third night: double cleanse, apply aquaphor around eyes, nose, and mouth, and then 0.1% Differin.Review:Picture 1: no Buffet, control sidePicture 2: seven weeks of Buffet application.Picture 3: same day comparison of both sides of my face. left picture is with Buffet.Overall, I think my pores are slightly smaller. And my left side looks slightly less red. Didn’t notice the huge difference that a lot of people did, but at this price point, I’ll probably keep using it. I’ll probably swap out my TO Hyaluronic acid with the Buffet.
