Beauty Tips For Body Care
After about years of convincing I’ve finally done it. My mother, father AND little broski all now use sunblock on a daily basis!!! Huge victory in my book :) since they (with time) will no longer have to complain about all these skin conditions they kept having to deal with.My dad had a 2nd degree oil burn on his left arm and since then he’s been wearing a UV protective arm sleeve on that arm. It’s been well over a year since this accident occurred. A few months back, however, he began to notice how dark his right arm was beginning to look compared to his left. It was several shades darker in fact. The back of his neck was severely tanned too and he was definitely not happy about the way it all looked. Now he makes sure he gets it all over where his skin will be exposed before taking on the world. My brother’s arms got severely burnt when we were out watching a jet show. In typical little brother fashion, he didn’t listen to me when I told him to put some on before we headed outside. He could barely move his arms and they had become very itchy, and he would itch until it bled! Months passed, he had healed up. A few days ago though, he had to go in to school for his exams (he’s been doing online school for this year). He got burnt on the way walking home. Not just his arms, but his neck, his face. Everywhere!Side note: Very odd that we’re the same skin tone pretty much but he burns in the sun, and I tan. I’ve never gotten burnt before and he never really turns darker in the sun. If anyone has an explanation please do help. But anyways, he never leaves the house now without apply SPF 50 :)My mum was the trickiest ones to break. She’s not very into the whole self care shtick... until she started noticing sun spots. She began to notice how patchy her skin was getting and at first we didn’t really pick up on it but now we see it’s definitely there and will continue to get worse if we don’t do anything about it. Dad holds her accountable now and always makes sure she applies sunblock before she leaves for work, and I’m trying to find a retinol (or any product really) we can get her on to help with the sunspots (any recommendations are appreciated!)Just me venting basically but I’m just so so happy that they’re finally wanting to keep their skin safe like I’ve been urging them to! :)
