Beauty Tips For Body Care
I recently came to the revelation that I think my skin is dehydrated, and it's been that way as long as I remember. I think the culprit was using a 2% salycilic acid face wash twice a day and moisturizing with oil free products. I didn't know anything about skincare, but I will say a dermatologist is the one who told me to use the wash twice a day. I've struggled with acne for my entire teen and adult life. It's better now than it was when I was 16 or so, but it's still a problem for me. So, I revamped my routine based on recommendations here. How is it? What can be better? Am I doing anything blatantly wrong?AM: In shower, cleanse with CeraVe foaming facial cleanserWhen I get out of the shower, use a Stridex pad (the red ones)Moisturize with CeraVe AM facial moisturizing lotionI'm usually in a hurry so I don't have time to wait around for 20 minutes between the pad and the moisturizer. How big of a deal is this? Should I rinse with water after the pad before moisturizing?PM: Oil cleanse with olive oil, wipe off with clothPat a little more oil back on for moisturizerSpot treat with Zapzyt 10% benzoyl peroxide gelAlso, one more question- is there really a difference between different products that have 2% salycilic acid? For instance, is there a reason the pads are better than, say, Neutrogena's salycilic acid 2% wash?
