Beauty Tips For Body Care
My acne isn't usually horrible on my face. It's normally pretty clear except for if I do something stupid like go without a shower for a day and then I usually end up with these small little bumps all over my forehead that make it look like sandpaper for a couple weeks. My back is a lot worse. Same little bumps, but also loads of pustules and cysts that are painful and ugly which have left my back looking like a war zone even after the pimples themselves are gone. Occasionally get a few on my chest but it's usually pretty clear. Right now my routine for showering is exfoliate using a sponge/loofah, use a charcoal body wash, then a salicylic acid scrub and a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash. Outside of that I use a 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treament, clindamycin pledges, and I take a minocycline pill once a day. The clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide and minocylcine are all dermatologist recommended/prescribed treatments. Before the minocycline I was on doxycycline, and I was also on a product called onextin for a while, but that didn't seem to do much. The clearest my sin has ever been was when I was taking the doxycycline pill and using the clindamycin pledges. But I ran through the clyndamycin pledges faster than my prescription length and in the time in between that and getting a new prescription, my skin worsened and stayed that way. At my next appointment my doctor kept me on the doxycycline but switch the clindamycin pledges for Onextin. During that time my skin did not improve whatsoever. Next appointment after that I got back on clindamycin, but he switched me to minocylcine since the doxycycline pills didn't seem to be as effective as they once were. I don't think I'm using too many treatments, as my results have not really improved when using fewer products, and my dermatologist has sad that the minocylcine and cyndamycin don't treat the type of acne that makes my skin feel rough (the sandpapery bumps). I haven't been able to find a correlation with my diet either, as cutting out soda or dairy doesn't seem to effect how my skin looks.
