[PSA] Paula's Choice Customer Support response to price hike (in Australia)

Hi my fellow SCAers - after the response to the Paula's Choice price hike thread yesterday, I thought I would post this email. I wrote an angry email to Paula's Choice Australia (as I live & shop for their products in Australia) when they upped their prices in the Australia online store. This is the Customer Support response I received:We appreciate the time taken to fully express your concerns and provide the feedback on the noticeably more dramatic price increase on our targeted treatments and anti-ageing products. We hope to have the chance to further explain the reasoning for this higher increase in price, for these particular items.We want to reassure you that Paula’s Choice – in all departments of the company - make these decisions on pricing increases with extreme caution and base these careful decisions on the feedback provided to us from our customers. Everything relating to the ingredients we use, the type of packaging a product is produced in, and formulations of your favourite Paula’s Choice products are adjusted where seen fit, based on reviewing the feedback we received from our loyal customers, such as yourself. We heard from our dedicated long time customers that quality is the utmost important aspect when choosing the products they use on their skin, and we continually strive to provide our customers with the safest, most effective ingredients and packaging that is available in the beauty industry today. In order to accomplish this – Paula’s Choice has to expand the resources used, as well as access new and innovative technology that makes us capable to provide our customers with the best skin care products available on the market in this day and age.Of course, using higher-quality ingredients, utilising new technology and techniques, seeking out safer/stronger packaging, and sourcing the highest quality raw materials, ultimately increases manufacturing costs substantially, which unfortunately impacts the cost of the product for all parties.
