I liked my mole, lol. It was small and I think it was a cute feature on my face, but about a week ago it swelled up a little and became slightly painful. I assumed it was acne or an ingrown hair right under the mole. I was absent mindedly picking at it and it has come completely off, leaving a small crater on my face. I have a few questions.It was always slightly raised, not flat against the skin. What are the chances it will come back?Should I be worried? Melanoma-wise? At what point should I see a dermatologist?I'm 24, male, and I've had it since birth as far as I know. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen. I'm a Floridian and a few people in my family have had skin cancer so I just want to know if I should be worried, and if not, if my signature mole will ever grow back. Thanks
