Beauty Tips For Body Care
Y'all. Hard water is a bitch, and 80-85% of the US has it (not sure about the stats for other countries, but it has to do with groundwater and the minerals it picks up). I used to have soft water (and nice skin) and then moved to an area with some of the hardest water in the US. My skin was angry, red, dry, irritated, and looked like I had a sunburn despite being indoors all day. I tried EVERY moisturizer and treatment I could think of. And then...I bought a water softener for my shower. And wow. It was all I needed. My hair, my skin, everything feels as soft and clean and smooth as a newborn baby. It was worth EVERY penny. If you have tried everything out there to calm your irritated skin, to no avail, check and see if you have hard water (statistically, it's likely that you do if you live in the US). If you do, try a water softener. You can get an in-shower one for about $200, which isn't cheap, but if you're spending a ton on skincare products then it might pay for itself. I look like an idiot holding my washcloth under the shower head and splashing water all over the bathroom, but my skin is glowing!P.S. Don't get tricked by showerhead "filters" which run for $20-80. Those only filter out chlorine and heavy metals but do NOT soften hard water.
