[Acne] urgent help - Could my dermatologist be wrong?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
A week back i went to my dermatologist for a routine appointment (I'm on Adapalene for moderate persistent acne but in the preceding week was using Epiduo as instructed). I had three large cysts on my left cheek. She said I'd better book a around of peels (glycolic followed by salicylic) each a week apart. She then proceeded to take me inside and pop the cysts forcibly (despite me insisting that they were cystic/nodular and no head is formed), without any prior steaming. It hurt soooooo bad. She then injected cortisone and proceeded to peel. 70% glycolic acid on the cysts for 10 minutes. It was black by the end. After a week, the area is still discoloured and depressed. Somehow i feel it would've healed better without all this painful intervention. Could i be right? She has done this to me once before and like clockwork I've gotten pimples on the same injected sites within a week. Today again I've noticed new pimples cropping up.
