[Hair Removal] Beware! Sugaring is not a cure for the ingrown-prone :(

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm an Indian girl who unfortunately inherited the hairy gene. I also apparently inherited the "oh you think you were going to get rid of this hair? MAY INGROWNS PLAGUE YOUR LIFE" gene. I had my first waxing appointment at age 12, and by age 14, I learned to wax myself. My body is still speckled in PIH from all the ingrowns I've accumulated over the years, but I managed to seriously minimize the occurrence of ingrowns with Tendskin and AHA toners.I recently heard of the "sugaring" craze, and how it's helped many people avoid ingrown hairs altogether. I've sugared my body about 3 times so far, and I followed my usual tendskin and AHA routine post-sugaring the first two times. To be fair, I typically get one or two ingrowns after waxing with this routine, but I did not get any after sugaring with this routine. However, I was traveling for 4 days after my last attempt at sugaring, and I didn't have the room in my TSA approved bag to bring my tendskin and toner. I thought I would be fine because ingrowns are supposedly not a problem with sugaring. I WAS SO WRONG! In those 4 days, I acquired around 8 ingrowns. So if you too are very prone to ingrown hairs after waxing, and you thought that sugaring would be the solution to your problems, I'm sorry to report that it is, most unfortunately, not the saving grace we all hoped for.
