Beauty Tips For Body Care
before/after picsAM 2-3 times a week: TO Glycolic Acid 7%, BuffetDaily: Cerave for normal to dry skin OR just a rinse Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Caffeine Solution around eyes Natural moisturizing factors + HA -OR- Squalene (feeling a little dry) -OR- Rose Hip Oil (feeling extra dry/stingy after evening treatment from night before) SPF 50 Shiseido Niod Hylamide HA Blur--before moisture, I alternate through Niacinamide, or Alpha Albutin, or Azelaic Acid or Magensium Ascorbyl Phospate 10% - during the school year I wear a fair amount of makeup (I'm a teacher!) and I found too many layers would pill my foundation - over the summer though I layered it all up (2-3 together except never MAG and Niacinamide) and didn't wear foundation, just mascara and eyeliner. As soon as I get home I use quite a bit of micellar cleansing water to wipe off my skin but I leave my eye makeup on - I will either moisturizer a crazy amount, put on Alpha Lipoic Acid or AHA 30% + BHA 2% or honestly do nothing with my wiped off skin and just cook dinner and be lazy.I rinse off every evening before bed and use Cerave to wash (sometimes 2x) and micellar to get off remaining eye makeup. I use Stridex red box (I leave on, I know some rinse). And then before bed I put on Advanced Retinoid 2% (2-5 times a week), usually followed by Rose Hip Oil but some nights I fall asleep before getting to my last steps ha!My thoughts: - I love all the products - the only one I really dislike is Vitamin C Suspension 23%. I am going to give it a try again though - maybe work it into my evening routine. There are new TO Vit C I am going to try as well - any recommendations would be awesome!Alpha Lipoic Acid is a wonder but I haven't been able to wear it all night - the smell is... apparent to me but not awful. I'd describe it as burned microwave popcorn, haha! Sleeping is hard for me and I'm very sensitive to smells so I leave it on for 4-5 hours before bed. Also, the one night I did leave it on all night i was red and more sensitive in the morning, but not to a degree that I was worried I'd look blotchy. To me it feels very warm upon initial application - off putting at first but now I really enjoy it!-I respond to my skin on a daily basis - I listen when it feels dry or stings, and I cut back and amp up moisturizing big time. when I start to break out I amp up the niacinamide, alpha and azelic acid. If something stings I wash it off immediately (except alpha lipoid acid - my skin typically settles into the sensations)-I use The Ordinary foundations 2-4 times a weeks - I'm very impressed - here is a daily make up look - https://imgur.com/gallery/uCWrr - not the best angle, but wanted to give you an idea - I mix the light weight serum 1.0 N and high-coverage serum 1.1 N-I also started taking biotin on a daily basisThoughts/questions- let me know! Happy Sunday, now time for some alpha lipoid acid and house projects!
