Beauty Tips For Body Care
Remember when that other chemist came on and it turned out to be fake?/u/Berdlawwith all due respect I'm disturbed that someone that stated as fact multiple incorrect things is being advertised by the mods lending legitimacy to them in the eyes of people that are looking to learn here and the first post on the same subject he most clearly did not understand no less. Not that I would expect anyone to be perfect but stating things as fact that are not true from the position of expert and advertised by the mods goes beyond that./u/BerdLawright at the top they say vitamin c is best at a ph of 4-5 which is not true. Then said cosmetic regulations don't allow a product at a ph below 3.5 which is not true. Then they referenced a regulation about the ph of glycolic and lactic acid in leave on products which has nothing to do with ascorbic acid. All of that was only clarified because I questioned it, it was stated as fact. Later they referenced actives that can shrink pores and when questioned because that is commonly shot down as a myth only mentioned alcohol being used by celebs? The comments about SPF 30 being a different measurement based on what country it was made in are very confusing as well.To me it seems that this person is just searching for as they goI think you're more correct. Technically AA is most stable at very low pH (~1) and quickly begins degrading with 24 hours at pH 3 Source. But cosmetic regulations don't allow products to be below a pH of 3.5. So most formulas will actually not let it get that low and allow a range of about 1 pH. So for example, when we manufacture an exfoliator for a customer we may allow a pH range of 3.5-4.5 in terms of acceptability.https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/81sdqa/misc_rd_cosmetic_chemist_reporting_for_duty_here/
