[Skin Concerns] Did you all experienced purging with BHA/AHA ? Tell me your experiences. How often should you apply in the beginning ?

I just bought Paula Choice BHA 2 % Liquid and on the bottle it says to apply everyday but im a bit skeptical. I don't want to overexfoliate my skin. Should I start with 2-3 times per week in the beginning ?Also did any of you avoided purging from these actives ?
