[Misc] Do peels actually make your skin peel?

I’ve never tried a product marketed as a “peel” before and I’m wondering what to expect. I got TO Lactic Acid 10% + HA, which says it is a “superficial peeling formulation.” I use Stridex in the red box daily and have always been able to use other acids without irritation or negative effects. Is the TO product likely to give me visible peeling?I should and will patch test, but the areas that seem safest to patch test (near hairline, side of neck) don’t really mimic the skin on my cheeks or t-zone, so I don’t feel like it’s an accurate test in this case.
