Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi everyone, first time posting here. As my title suggests, I'm oilier than a 50s greaser's hair and I'm starting to lose patience with this sh!t.It started when I hit puberty, naturally. I have combination skin, as my cheeks are generally either fine or slightly flaky. Underneath my lips, sort of to the sides, tends to be painfully dry if I overdo my actives (list below). My nasal creases are always bumpy, dry and really bloody sore. I've found if I scratch the area too much, the dryness and itchiness spreads. Antifungal seems to settle it so I've got no idea what on earth is going on in that area, the pores on my nose are black (not blackheads though, just oxidised sebum), forehead, nose and eyes are pure oil, but don't let that fool you - they'll still flake like I haven't had water in six years.Basically, I'm completely lost. Derms are very expensive in Ireland so I've been scouring the web and now this sub for any advice on how to deal.My routine is:Morning:*Alex Steinherr low pH sulfate free cleanser - no perfume or colour, low foam, salicylic acid, raspberry leaf extract (what does that even do to skin? All I can find is how raspberry leaf tea affects pregnant women so I'm totally ignorant about its use in this cleanser.)*Garnier Pure Active Matte Control moisturiser (am oily 2 hours after applying)*Occasionally compact, matte powder.Afternoon: Body Shop Peppermint Face MistEvening:*Superdrug tea tree and peppermint foaming cleanser if I wore powder that day. Otherwise, Alex Steinherr cleanser.*Nip + Fab Salicylic Acid 2% Toner or adapalene 0.1% (alternate days as I've heard one cancels out the other)*Vichy 89 moisturiser or Ziaja Urea moisturiser depending on skin condition at the time. Ziaja causes less irritation if already dry and tight.I try to stay hydrated, use Garnier SPF 50+ on sunny days, blotting papers, everything I can to absorb oil but not strip too much. Still, I'm so so oily. I get hormonal breakouts on my jawline, a few spots on the forehead, hence adapalene.I am deficient in pretty much everything due to being on PPIs. Could that be causing this? The main deficiencies are iron, calcium and vitamin D3.I appreciate everyone's time if they've read this far and any advice I may get. Thank you <3
