What’s the secret to rinsing your face in a sink without soaking your entire body? [Misc]

The commercials on tv make it look so easy. The models splash water so effortlessly onto their faces from a sink that’s 20 miles away. I am either bent over like a dog drinking from a water bowl or I try to stay standing upright and end up with a soaking wet shirt. In the end, I might as well have just taken a shower for all the effort I put into it/how wet I end up.There has to be some secret way to rinse your face. Is their some adult cleansing bib I don’t know about? I know face cloths exist, but how often do you have to wash those? Ugh I’m so bad at laundry.... and do they rinse your face well?Maybe I just need more practice.
