I have learned so much from all of your unbiased reviews & endless comments!! I am a novice enthusiast but would like to give back to the community by sharing my routine & experience. For reference I am 27F living in Australia, skin is normal/dry/dehydrated and my main concerns are aging gracefully as well as combatting some sun damage/melasma. I used to think my skin was sensitive but through this process I've come to realize that I just had no idea what I was doing before lol.My routine is as follows:Morning :Rinse with water in showerKeep Cool and Soothe TonerHada Labo Gokujyun Premium LotionRohto Mentholatum Melano CC Vitamin C EssencePeter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud CreamLa Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid 50+NightThen I Met You Living Cleansing BalmKrave Matcha Hemp Hydrating CleanserCeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum* (3x per week)Krave Kale Lalu-yAHA* (2x per week)If doing actives wait 15 minutesKeep Cool and Soothe TonerHada Labo Gokujyun Premium LotionGood Molecules Niacinamide SerumIlliyoon Ceramide ATO Concentrate CreamCosRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask when dry*actives used on separate daysThen I Met You Living Cleansing Balm : This is my first oil/cleansing balm so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do have to say this product is luxurious and an absolute dream to use. I find my skin is so much cleaner since using this, and look forward to that "taking the day off" feeling this balm gives me. I also feel like since using this my other products work more effectively. MRP only because of price point and accessibility from Aus, and that there are other first cleanses on the market I am interested inKrave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser : My first AB product!! And I never want to be without it. I never knew that a cleanser could make your face feel more hydrated and soft until this. This has a light nutty scent and gel like texture which creates a very slight foam on application. I bought this for my mom and she loves it as well :-) HGKeep Cool and Soothe Toner : The most recent addition to my shelf. Bought this after reading rave reviews, specifically concerning combatting dehydrated skin. This is a great first step after cleansing IMO and easy to layer. Has a very slight scent, maybe from the bamboo? I think for something with a water light consistency this does a great job at hydrating and works well as a light base for the products to follow. MRP just because there are too many toners under the sun to tryHada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion : WOW!! I know this product gets endless praise on this sub but I am happy to line up and join the chorus. No other product has given me as obvious a result as this gem. After a couple days of use I noticed a definite glow in my skin, and never have to worry that I will wake up the next morning dry when using this. Crazy good price point as well. HG forever and everRohto Mentholatum Melano CC Vitamin C Essence : This product provides that lit from within GLOW. I love the container this comes in, I have had this open for about 3 months and have had no oxidization as of yet. I was wary about using a Vitamin C serum due to oxidization and the crazy price of most of the popular ones on the market. This might not be the strongest formula out there but well worth it for the price. WRPGood Molecules Niacinamide Serum : I bought this to add a bit of brightening to my nighttime routine and it did that and more! This a clear serum with a similar consistency to the Hada Labo mentioned above. Non sticky and non irritating imo. I find this serum to be pretty hydrating, as well as brightening and skin barrier boosting. WRPPeter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream : Before I fell off the deep end into the world of skincare this was my HG moisturizer. But since understanding the importance of a strong barrier and how inexpensive effective skincare can be I will have to letting this one go. Using this alone at night with actives wrecked my barrier. That being said this is a great moisturizer for warmer days layered under sunscreen. WNRP solely based on the priceIlliyoon Ceramide ATO Concentrate Cream : Where PTR contributed to my barrier being ruined this was a hero in healing it back up. Thick but not heavy or oily. I've been seeing this moisturizer get a lot of love on reddit & instagram, and for good reason!! Perfect no frills moisturizer that just works! WRP maybe even HGCosRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask : I would call this more of a light to medium weight cream moisturizer rather than a sleeping mask. Regardless I think this a great last step before sleep for the warmer months, I definitely find that my skin is brighter and more hydrated when I wake up the next morning after using this. WNRPKrave Kale - Lalu - yAHA : The praise I have for Liah Yoo and her team at Krave is endless!! I believe this product has helped lighten my melasma. I find this Glycolic Acid to be gentle yet effective, and surprisingly hydrating for an exfoliant. This did take some time to get used to, the first couple times I used it I experienced a tingling sensation and short lived redness. I can now use this up to 2 times a week in combination with other actives. MRP only because this is going to last a verrrry long time and I might want to level up in % by thenCeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum : My first proper foray into the world of Vitamin A and I am loving this product! I have not experienced any irritation since using this for three weeks now, but do notice that my skin can be a bit dehydrated the morning after. I think this is a great starter retinol, as it's affordable and gentle. I know that any results I have this soon would be slight, but I think I've noticed my skin tone to be more even. WNRP because I want to level up and try different brandsLa Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid 50+ : I think I have gone thru 10+ bottles of this stuff? I do not mess around with the Australian sun, and this is the only product I trust 100% to protect me against it. Often on sale here & easy to come by. Lightweight, no white cast, and easy to reapply. A lot of people write about the alcohol in this being an issue but I haven't noticed any issues, especially since it was reformulated recently. HGI'm From Honey Mask : This has gotten a lot of HG praise from people I trust so I was very excited to try it for myself. I have found that if I leave it on for ~30 minutes my skin is so so soft and hydrated like a baby. This is great for those days that I am feeling just a bit on the drier side, and think it will come in clutch for the dry af winter months. WRPIf you've made it this far, thank you! Thank you to everyone for writing the reviews that led me to purchasing these products, thus vastly improving my skin health! I hope these reviews can help those still on the shelf of what to add to their routine. Also if you have a similar skin type/skin concerns/ routine and want to lend me some knowledge please share, I want to learn from you! Any and all advice is graciously welcome
