Beauty Tips For Body Care
[27M, combination-oily skin]What I notice is that quite a few people on here have extensive cleansing habits and it made me want to share my current cleansing routine. It only now dawned on me that it might be quite controversial.AM: gently wash and pat my face under the shower with lukewarm water (yes, I specifically turn down the heat of the water when I do this)PM: Sioris Fresh Moment Cleansing Oil. Gently massage this on my face for 2-3 minutes before thoroughly emulsifying it with splashes of water. After that, I rinse everything off with lukewarm water. That's it. No water-based cleanser, no double-cleansing. No morning cleanser. For those wondering: I live in an urban area, the remainder of my routine consists of multiple products and I always use SPF during the day. So it's not like my face doesn't gather any dirt, grime or anything of the sort. The reason why I am sharing this is not because I want all of you ditch your cleansers and only oil cleanse in the evening. I want you to re-evaluate your cleansing routine. Cleansers can be harsh (even the "gentle" ones) and possibly add to any of your current skin issues.[Disclaimer: I have used plenty of other oil cleansers in the past that left a slight film on my face afterwards, which isn't ideal and required me to use a secondary cleanser. Three products that I had great success with are:Deviant Skincare: Cleansing Concentrate Dear Klairs: Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil Sioris Fresh Moment Cleansing Oil]
