[misc] I got grits after doing OCM for first time!
Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey! So I realised my skin was dehydrated because of using too many drying products and after doing research I found OCM is apparently better and to stop using the BHA and tea tree/witch hazel product I was using. Any who, I am so excited right now, my face feels so much smoother and it feels super clean. I used olive oil because I remember using it a long time ago just to moisturise my chin which was super dry and it didn't break me out so I went for it. I used it on my dry face, let it sit for a whole then massaged from the outside of my face towards the middle. And boom, I got gritsJust felt like sharing! :)

[Misc] Why stick/roll-on antiperspirants never really dry on my underarms?
Beauty Tips For Body Care
Several years ago I was using stick/roll-on antiperspirants and they worked just fine. Now my product of choice is no longer being produced and I have to find a replacement, but none of the stick/roll-on products of various brands I've tried (10+) leaves my underarms properly dry. They are either sticky, waxy or oily. Very uncomfortable and bad for my clothes.I shower twice a day and make extra sure to clean my underarms thoroughly, to trim my underarm hair to 3/4mm length and to apply a modest amount of antiperspirant and even help it dry - by keeping the arms apart from the chest for 10 or 15 min. Nothing helps. What could be the reason?

Sebamed clear face care gel users: Do you layer anything underneath to help with moisturizing? I'm finding it a bit drying.. [product question]
Beauty Tips For Body Care
I am one of the lucky ones who can't tolerate dimethicone or fatty alcohols on my face. Closed comedones galore, I've been fighting them for over a year now and finally took the plunge and got the Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel. No new breakouts to report! And my comedones are slowly going away.My concern is that this is really, really not moisturizing at all, despite the hyaluronic acid and all that. For the past week I've been layering a thin thin application of jojoba oil, letting that sink in for a few minutes, and then applying the Sebamed but that results in my makeup slipping around a bit, especially around my eyes, though my skin is much happier with the oil+clear face gel as opposed to the clear face gel alone.Any recommendations for a moisturizing serum or something like that to combine with the sebamed? I know that sebamed alone is not going to cut it once the harsh winter sets in, and I commute by foot which means my face is exposed to the freezing, windy air more than most so I need all the moisture I can get. Some basic info about me/my skin:Oily/Combo/Acne prone (specifically clog-prone, not so much cystic)can't have fatty alcohols or siliconesCurrent routine is washing with Trader Joe's tea tree face wash, moisturize with sebamed. At night I use either of Paula's Choice 8%AHA Gel or 2%BHA Liquid, and moisturize with hemp seed oil (which I also use for OCM from time to time).I'm in northern NJ and also NYC so I have access to a lot, though I'd prefer something on the more affordable side.

[Misc] Is it possible to change the texture of your skin?
Beauty Tips For Body Care
I think I have a rough, ruddy, dull skin tone. Is there any way I can actually have one of those glowing, smooth skin tones that some people have or is it just genetics? I drink a ton of water and my diet is great, so it's not that. I've never tried using any products. I also don't wash my face with anything but water. But, this isn't really about me. I just want to know if it can be done?

[Skin concerns] Onreltea/Mirvasa made my light flushing so much worse after first use.
Beauty Tips For Body Care
Months ago I had a cellulitis infection in my nose. It's a long story, but I was overtreated with antibiotics including bactroban. After that I developed occasional, light flushing from a small number of triggers. No big deal. But, I was worried. I went to the dermatologist. She gave me Onreltea/Mirvasa gel and told me to use it in the morning only if there is redness. That's all she said. She didn't warn me of side effects. After the first application (tiny dab to my nose) my skin went pale for 48 hours (prior to this my flushing was light and only lasted for some short time like ten minutes). After that the flushing was worse, non stop, out of control, extremely reactive to any dash of histamine (like in eggs, chicken, steak, tons of foods and vegetables or even just from eating anything sometimes). I didn't put it together. I used it 2 more times. Thinking it would prevent long term damage from flushing. But, it's made my flushing so much worse. I'm extremely reactive to food. I'm on a strict diet now. I can't eat at restaurants. I flush pretty much daily (sometimes multiple times a day), and it's much redder. I still fade back to pale in between flushing. But, I feel pain all the time. It's been a month since I last used it. Any other experiences or info? Is there any way I can get back to the mild, occasional flushing I had before using onreltea 1 to 3 times? Could laser help me? I don't have permanent redness, just bad flushing in my nose every day. Or could laser just make it worse. Maybe I can see some improvement in 6 to 9 months if some faulty mast cells in my nose die off and new ones grow? Or from time sticking to a healthy diet. Or just giving my skin time to recover and heal. Just some thoughts. I'm so upset and worried. This is also a PSA. Thank you in advance!

[Skin Concerns] Reaction from a cleanser I've been using for 3+ months, is this possible?
Beauty Tips For Body Care
Yesterday, I got a facial and went to dinner after. Before bed without washing my face. I used Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion, it has a pH of around 3 and Salicylic Acid percentage of 0.5%. I wanted to finish it before my Paula's Choice one arrives in the mail. I put on La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo which has Benzyl Peroxide percentage of around 5.5% on around four acne spots I had.Next morning, I took a shower but didn't wash my face in the shower, instead I put my Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cleanser in the shower and came out with it on. I took my spray bottle of Distilled Water and sprayed my face to get my cleanser washed off. I did a lot of sprays to make sure it's off.Next my face was RED mostly my nose, chin, around the lips and on my cheeks. These are places I never get pimples I get pimples along my jaw a under my cheekbones. What could have happened? I've been using my cleanser for so long. So I don't know what it could be.
